This powder is obtained from the dried and ground fruits of the Aritha (Reetha) plant. It is brown in color and has a slightly spicy aroma. The dried fruits are also known as wash nuts.
This powder is rich in saponins, which foam and provide a deep cleanse with water, making it suitable for oily hair.
Reetha powder can be used in place of shampoo, face and body cleansers.
Reetha is also used for various skin problems such as psoriasis or eczema. It also has mild insecticidal properties and can be used to remove lice. This effect is enhanced by adding neem oil or neem powder. This product is also suitable for laundry and dishes that can be washed with this powder
Hair wash : Mix the powder with water to form a paste and leave for 20 minutes. Apply to hair and scalp. After 20-30 minutes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. For best results, use once a week, mixed in equal parts with Neem powder and Amla powder. Skin care: Use the paste in place of a regular cleanser. Ideal for oily and impure skin!
