Summer morning skincare
The morning skincare routine that I recommend is designed to maximize the effects of sun protection and to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.
1. Cleansing
Let's start with cleansing, to remove the sebum and sweat that has settled on the skin during the night.
We use a delicate mousse cleanser , which removes dirt without stripping the skin of its natural hydrolipidic film.
2. Antioxidant serum
Use a face serum with antioxidants to protect your skin from damage that will be caused by smog and UV rays. A good antioxidant serum allows you to prevent damage from premature skin aging, such as sun spots, thickening of the skin and fine lines.
You can use a facial serum with Vitamin C or try Antiox Booster.
Antiox Booster is formulated with Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid, two super-antioxidant ingredients that fight the signs of aging, reduce skin blemishes, reduce damage from UV rays and regulate sebum production.
3. Sun Protection
Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen, with UVA and UVB filters.
Sunscreen protects you from sunburn, premature skin aging, dark spots, and thickening of the skin.
Apply sunscreen every 2 hours or more often if you choose a stick or roll-on sunscreen.
Sunscreen is essential for everyone, especially if you have fair, sensitive skin or acne-prone skin. Excessive sun exposure during the summer actually causes acne to worsen during the fall due to increased sebum production and the thickness of the stratum corneum.
Use sunscreen even if your skin is already tanned: UVA rays act deep into the skin, destroying the elastin and collagen that support the skin.
If you need a hand in choosing the product here are some of the best organic facial sunscreens
Summer skincare for the evening
Summer evening skincare has ingredients that hydrate and repair the skin from UV damage, helping it during its natural nighttime regeneration process.
1. Double cleansing
Double cleansing is perfect for perfectly removing sunscreen, makeup and impurities accumulated during the day.
Apply an oil cleanser to dry skin and massage thoroughly for a few seconds. Without rinsing, apply a foaming cleanser to complete the cleansing and leave the skin soft and hydrated.
2. Hydrating and soothing serum
During the night, the skin repairs and regenerates and it is the best time to give it extra hydration and repair the damage of sun exposure.
Hydra Booster is a booster serum with amino acids, vitamin B5 and Natural Hydration Factor. Excellent as a hydrating, soothing and smoothing treatment for all skin types.
3. Face oil
To regenerate your skin, use a facial oil that helps you seal in the moisture you've gained and keep it all night. Use a light, fast-absorbing facial oil so your skin doesn't feel greasy and heavy.
Multiactive Oil is a mix of 9 precious vegetable oils, with anti-aging, nourishing, elasticizing and antioxidant action. Enriched with CBD, it has a powerful anti-inflammatory and soothing action and is excellent for the treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, dry, irritated and problematic skin.
Extra tips
- During the day, you can also hydrate your skin with hydrolate sprays , to be sprayed on your face at any time. You can also leave them in the fridge for a refreshing effect!
Excellent in summer, chamomile hydrolate , relaxing, soothing and refreshing. Ideal for dry, sensitive skin and in case of rosacea and redness.
BUY CHAMOMILE HYDROLATE
- Avoid using alcoholic perfumes especially when you are exposed to the sun; alcohol can irritate the skin and lead to the appearance of brown spots.
If you love scented skin even under the umbrella, you can try a delicate and safe oil perfume.
Excellent in summer , the roll-on perfume Raggio di Sole , with notes of Vanilla and Mandarin, brings joy and well-being to your days.
- After sun exposure, use a soothing and hydrating gel such as aloe vera gel or a soothing gel with calendula and chamomile .
-
Choose carefully the cosmetics you use during the day, because some may contain photosensitizing ingredients that can cause spots and irritation. Among the photosensitizing ingredients, there are citrus essential oils (grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, mandarin, orange) and acidic substances such as glycolic acid or fruit acids (AHA).
- Exfoliation helps you get a more even and long-lasting tan and no, it does not remove your tan. You can exfoliate your skin safely in the summer, but avoid exfoliating your skin immediately before and after sun exposure and avoid scrubs and peels on irritated and red skin.
