Lipstick is the icing on the cake of a beautiful make up! It completes the look, emphasizes and makes our lips wonderful.
Unfortunately, lipsticks on the market often contain several substances that are harmful to our body. However, we should not give up on beautiful lips but choose organic lipsticks.
How a lipstick is made
Lipsticks are cosmetics based on oils, waxes, pigments, emollients, you would not expect to find harmful substances.
Most lipsticks on display contain substances such as phthalates, parabens, silicones, and petroleum derivatives. Phthalates are banned in children's toys - which are often put in the mouth - but are allowed in cosmetics and also in lipsticks of course. Phthalates affect the hormonal system and metabolism and are linked to the onset of chronic diseases.
Silicone is used for the finish, it creates a water-repellent surface and clogs the pores, the skin does not breathe. In the long run this is very harmful, also because they are never completely eliminated with cleansing and their accumulation is persistent.
Then we find parabens , used for preservation. They are all substances that we put on our skin and also ingest unintentionally by applying them on our lips.
Which lipsticks to choose?
So which lipsticks to choose? Let's choose organic and natural lipsticks for our lips. The formulas of organic lipsticks have nothing to envy in terms of texture, persistence and pigmentation to common lipsticks.
The list of ingredients, however, the INCI, contains only substances of natural origin. and organic ingredients. Instead of microcrystalline waxes derived from petroleum we will find beeswax, instead of silicones castor oil or almond oil, all pigments, micas, will be of mineral origin.
Here on Yumibio you will find only the best organic products for your lips , they are not harmful but rather they are also beneficial because they are enriched with vitamins, hyaluronic acid and other excellent ingredients for the health of your lips.
