welcome to my world
I was born at the foot of Vesuvius, in a large garden a few steps from the sea.
My history starts from far away.
It was 2000, when Nonna Yumi brought her ma bis-bis-bis-bis-bis-great-grandmother home with her. My great bis lived in a large pot on a sunny balcony, where she grew strong and tall.
Small plants sprouted on its trunk, which Grandmother Yumi moved into comfortable pots, where they could grow undisturbed. My great bis gave birth to hundreds and hundreds of plants, which were given to friends, family and acquaintances who all wanted to have one.
Why?
My bis-bis is very famous and everyone knows the virtues of its leaves, which can soothe heartburn, sunburn, insect bites and small irritations.
I, like you, also have these properties. Now I am still very small but, with due care, I will also become big and strong and my leaves will be rich in gel!
In February 2019 Mum and Dad Yumi chose to donate us small aloes to friends in their shop. One was the first traveling aloe, this is the photo she sent us as soon as she arrived in her new home!
How to take care of me?
I started my journey with bare roots, so as not to risk that the jar or the soil could dirty your cosmetics. Once you can plant me in my new home, preferably in the evening or early in the morning. I love to keep the roots in a fairly tall pot, with a clay bottom and a light and airy soil, not pressed.
I am a plant accustomed to arid climates, I don't need a lot of water, the soil must be humid but not wet. Give me to drink only when the earth is dry, preferably with water left to rest for at least 24 hours! Wet the soil directly, being careful not to drop water on the leaves, which are still small and may rot.
Keep me warm and light, but not in the direct sun and don't worry, even if small and maybe tried by the journey I'm very resistant!
