This Amla powder from Khadi is made from dry, grounded fruits from the Amla tree. It is also called the Indian gooseberry. It has a light brown color and a slight sour scent, reminiscent of cranberries and oak bark. Amla extract is widely used in natural shampoos, hair oils and natural colors. Due to its high tannin content, it can be used as a fabric color fixative.
It is very rich in vitamin C, has antioxidant effects and helps to prevent premature graying of hair. It also helps prevents hair loss and dandruff. It has astringent effects on the skin, thus it is very good for normal, combination and oily skin.
Application: Depending on the length of the hair, mix 1-2 tablespoons of powder with boiling water, mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Allow to cool and apply directly to damp hair; leave for 10-15 minutes. A time of 30 minutes intensifies the effect on the scalp and hair. Rinse with running water.
For even better results, mix the product with Shikakai and Reetha powder (one third each). The created pasta is an effective shampoo and conditioner. You can also use this paste on your face. Apply it and leave on for 10 minutes. Wash your face with plenty of water and sprinkle with rose water. Amla powder can be used as a mask for the whole body.
